My wife Marion, and I thought about it for a few seconds and then decided to indulge ourselves in a few hours of soaking at Mercey Hot Springs. www.merceyhotsprings.com I chose Mercey HS because of it's proximity and it's rather straight shot down Interstate 5. I was intrigued by Mercey HS because each person got to fill up their own tub and not have to share it with anyone else. You get to enjoy it by yourself and then, when it starts cooling down. DRAIN, refill. I was knew I going to be in heaven. Located about a hundred miles from our house, it looked like a leisurely 2 hour drive. So we packed up a cooler, a few snacks and hit the road. View Larger Map We had read on someone's blog that you could pick up a sub sandwich at a Subway at the exit. Uh, wrong. It's the previous exit. So if you think you might get hungry for lunch, make sure you bring it because there are no services at this exit and unless you want to go caveman on some grazing cow, well you are sol. Including a stop for gas, it took me about an hour and 45 minutes to drive to Mercey HS from Livermore, California. After ...
